Western second in 2006-07 GNAC All-Sports standings
May 16, 2007 SPOKANE, Wash. - Seattle Pacific, which won a conference-record seven team titles this year, is the 2006-07 Great Northwest Athletic Conference All-Sports Team Champion for the second year in a row. The Falcons, who broke their own record of six team titles set last season, outpointed Western Washington 138-131. The Vikings have finished second in each of the past two years after winning the first four all-sports titles. Seattle Pacific also won its fourth consecutive women's all-sports title finishing 11 points ahead of runner-up Western Washington (92-81). Central Washington, however, ended Western Washington's run of five straight men's titles, outscoring the Vikings 57-50 to win the title for the first time. Points are awarded (on a two-point increment) based on the final conference finishes in each of the conference's 13 sports -volleyball, men's and women's soccer, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's indoor track & field, men's and women's outdoor track & field, baseball and softball. Seattle Pacific won five of the seven women's titles finishing first in volleyball, cross country, basketball, indoor track-and-field and outdoor track-and-field. The Falcons, who don't compete in softball, finished third in soccer. In addition, SPU shared both the men's soccer and men's basketball titles with Seattle University. SU also won the women's soccer title. Central Washington used titles in both indoor and outdoor track-and-field and Top 5 finishes in cross country (5th), basketball (4th) and baseball (2nd) to earn the men's title. Other conference champions included Western Washington in softball and men's cross country and Western Oregon in baseball.

Women: Cross Country - Seattle Pacific, Soccer - Seattle, Volleyball - Seattle Pacific, Basketball - Seattle Pacific, Indoor Track and Field - Seattle Pacific, Outdoor Track and Field - Seattle Pacific, Softball - Western Washington.
