Sept. 15, 2005 BELLINGHAM, Wash. - The Western Washington University men's cross country team is ranked No.24 in the American Cross Country Coaches Association/NCAA Division II Poll released this week. The Vikings, also No.5 in the in the Far West Regional Poll, are one of two nationally ranked Great Northwest Athletic Conference teams. Alaska Anchorage is No.21 in the national poll and No.4 in the regional ranking. Chico State is rated No.1 in the region. Western opened its season last week by winning the men's division at the Emerald City Invitational. The Vikings race in the Sundodger Classic this Saturday (9 a.m.) at Seattle's Lincoln Park. |
