Oct. 10, 2005 BELLINGHAM, Wash. - Western Washington University's Logan Senrud has received Great Northwest Athletic Conference men's cross country Runner of the Week honors for Oct. 1-8. Senrud, a junior from Bigfork, Mont., was making his first appearance of the season after dealing with an arch injury. He finished eighth in the 32nd annual WWU Invitational, completing the 10-kilometer course in 33:10 as the Vikings won for the fourth time in six years. Last year, Senrud was the Vikings' top finisher in one race and placed 24th at the GNAC Championships. The Vikings are ranked No.21 in the latest American Cross Country Coaches Association/NCAA II national poll and No.4 in the West Region. Western is off this week before returning to action Oct. 22 as host of the GNAC Championships. |
