LAKEWOOD, Colo. - Bart Patitucci (Fr., Othello) shot a 1-over par 72, helping the Western Washington University men's golf team move up to seventh entering Wednesday's final round at the NCAA Division II West Regional being held at the Fox Hollow Golf Course.

The Vikings shot 300 Tuesday for a 36-hole total of 603. That is 24 strokes behind sixth-place UC San Diego (579) and two shots ahead of eighth-place Hawaii Hilo (605).

"Hopefully we can play a good round tomorrow and finish what has been a disappointing tournament on a high note," said Western coach Steve Card.

Patitucci is tied for 32nd at 152. Another Western golfer tied for 32nd is Tommy Bullock (So., Mukilteo/Kamiak), who shot a second-round 75.
