Western's GNAC title chances dealt blow in wind-swept 1-1 OT tie with Northwest Nazarene
Western Washington University attempted 40 shots, but couldn't find the go-ahead goal and tied Northwest Nazarene University, 1-1 in overtime, in a wind-swept Great Northwest Athletic Conference women's soccer contest Thursday at Orca Field on the campus of Whatcom Community College. The Vikings, who extended their unbeaten streak to six games are 10-4-4 overall, but fell out of first place in the GNAC standings at 7-1-3, as Seattle Pacific moved into the lead at 8-2-1 with a 3-2 overtime victory Thursday at Montana State-Billings.
