BELLINGHAM, Wash. - Western Washington University outfielder/shortstop Lisa Pendergrast has been named Great Northwest Athletic Conference softball Player of the Week for March 2-8.

Pendergrast, a senior from Bow (graduate of Burlington-Edison High School), had the game-winning hit in two games as Western won three of four at home against Montana State Billings.

In the series, Pendergrast went 7-for-14, including one double. She drove in three runs and stole two bases.

On the season, Pendergrast is hitting .313 (15-for-48) with seven runs batted in and four runs scored.

The 12-5 Vikings are on the road for two Great Northwest Athletic Conference doubleheaders this week, traveling to Northwest Nazarene University on Thursday (1:30 p.m.) and Central Washington University on Saturday (12 noon).
